Amber tries to avoid other people, so she may to a bit hard to roleplay with. I do have a few possible ideas. Someone tries to befriends her. Someone suspects that there is something wrong in her life, and tries to get it out of her. Someone tries to convince her that she has potential. She encounters someone in need, and tries to help them.

Hello!
Would Amber go to the same school as Mike? We could potentially say Amber and Nancy have met in passing. It would at least prompt Nancy to strike up conversation with Amber ("Hey, don't you go to school with my brother?"), which could give us a jumping off point. I feel like Nancy is generally more vigilant than she used to be, so it wouldn't be out of the question for her to take an interest if Amber seemed upset or if she was sitting somewhere alone.

Yes, she does go to the same school as Mike. That could work. She might have even observed, over time, that Amber usually seems sad. One of us could start a thread for them, or I could just post in Different Kinds of Trees.

You can absolutely jump into Different Kinds of Trees if it's not hard to put Amber in the woods. If you have a hard time with your muse joining that one let me know and we can start something else for them.

I'm honestly not sure if this would work, since Amber is so reclusive, but maybe Eleven notices that they're similar and follows her around? I mean, El doesn't really know how to initiate friendships, but the pair probably have similar mannerisms from dealing with abuse. They could run into each other in the woods or whatever. Or maybe they have classes together once Eleven gets to go to highschool? She's going to struggle a lot academically, and socially, and it's probably not possible for the boys to be in all her classes. So they could meet that way, too. I dunno~ I'm open to anything. |

Nancy Wheeler I think I'll be able to put her in the woods, sometime in the next couple of days. Eleven I see them choosing to sit next to each other in school, but not saying anything to each other until the teacher says them have to pick partners for something.

I can see Normal Will trying to be friends with Amber since she's so quiet. She could possibly remind him of Eleven and he might take comfort in that while Eleven's missing. Dark Will, on the other hand, wouldn't like her, nor anyone else. Maybe he can use her to scare the gang away. While Jackson abuses his sister, I think he would try to have a positive relationship with her. Maybe after Dark Will hurts him, he would learn to become a better person. Yet, their mother hurting him wouldn't really help and he might relapse at times. |

@will /@jackson , I can see Amber and Will becoming friends. Amber will be somewhat scared of him, but she's good friends with her brother and she's afraid of him. (I don't recall Will ever meeting Eleven, in the show, but maybe I'm wrong.) How would he use her to scare the gang away? Despite the abuse, I also see Amber and Jackson being good friends, and also him being very protective over her. I like the idea of him trying to be better. I also think it would be interesting if Amber somehow found out what his mother does to him.
