Hello! I mostly go by Ruby, but I’ve had other aliases, so it’s possible I’ve run across you before elsewhere. I’ve been RP’ing since 2008, and I’ve played in many fandoms, including: Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lost, and The Vampire Diaries.
I don’t mind short posts, but I’m not afraid to get wordy either. I do try not to short-change you if you write me a long, detailed post, and I try not to bury you in a winded response if you give me something short and sweet.
Generally, I don’t write a lot of NC-17 content. I’m a fade-to-black kind of gal unless there’s some reason the detail makes sense. I do not write NC-17 content involving characters under 18.
I have a full-time job, so I may be scarce during the week, but I do try to post once or twice a week if possible. I’m usually around on the weekends.
Nancy Wheeler
Hi. I’m Nancy. I don’t want to seem unfriendly, but my life’s gotten a little complicated recently. There’s just stuff going on you wouldn’t understand, so why bother, right?
Or, maybe you would understand. You don’t happen to play Dungeons and Dragons, do you? I know that sounds lame, but my little brother swears it’s the easiest way to explain our lives…
Friends: While Nancy can be a little high-strung, she’s generally friendly and sweet when her friends aren’t getting whisked away by monsters. That’ll make a girl a little aloof. There’s also a very weird chunk of her life she’d be hesitant to reveal to anyone who doesn’t already know about it, so she may seem a little curt or flaky.
Romance: Nancy’s romantic life is kind of complicated at the moment. She was in a relationship with Steve Harrington that sort of got phased out as she developed an interest in Jonathan Byers. At the end of season 2 it could be implied that she and Jonathan are in a relationship, but it wasn’t clearly specified. Since we don’t currently have a Jonathan or a Steve in play, I’m going to play Nancy as technically single. However, if you take up Jonathan or Steve and you’d like to ship with Nancy, let me know! Those two have first dibs if they’re around, as far as I’m concerned.
Enemies: I can’t imagine the guys from the Lab would be too fond of her, given the whole media uproar she sort of helped kick off. Other than that, Nancy doesn’t have many enemies. She tends to be generally likeable. She does strongly associate with Steve Harrington, Jonathan Byers, and her brother’s friends. So, if you’re an enemy of theirs you’ll likely make an enemy of Nancy as well.
I’m pretty much up for playing with anybody and I’m pretty flexible with my plots. I’d love to have her do some actiony stuff where she gets to beat up some beasties. She’s a character who could poke her nose into just about anybody’s business without breaking canon, so she really can get involved in just about anything. Let me know if you want to plot! |

El has a lot of ties to Nancy, from borrowing old clothes to dating her little brother, but they didn't really get to spend much time together. I'm thinking we should remedy that~ I already jumped on your open thread. Hope that's okay. But I'm all for more girl time.
Maybe Hopp has to go somewhere, and the Byers can't watch her, so he asks Nancy to stay a weekend to babysit? Or maybe the party is hanging out at the Wheeler house and Eleven gets overwhelmed and slips away and goes and talks to Nancy? Or maybe they ask Nancy to help tutor El to get her ready for highschool? I dunno~ I'm open to anything. |

Dark Will isn't going to be easy to find. With Nancy's tendency to be more a detective than Hopper seems to be, maybe she would be the first to find him just before he ends up doing something horrible? |

I saw some overlap in our plot discussions, so I'm going to tag a few people here. Maybe we can team up and come up with a cool plot! Nancy & Eleven That's awesome you jumped in! Amber Fletch was thinking of joining too if that's okay. Maybe that'll be a good way for Amber and Eleven to interact so you guys can plot further? I could totally see Nancy letting Eleven raid her closet and helping her put together outfits. I think Nancy would volunteer to keep an eye on any of the kids if needed, so it's totally possible Eleven would wind up at the Wheeler house. Nancy & Vanessa Harrington Maybe we can work with @will with his Dark Will idea? If Will did something to Steve, or threatened to, I could see Nancy and Tessa grudgingly teaming up, both wanting to prevent that. Because I don't think Nancy would want anything bad to happen to him. Nancy & @will Nancy absolutely could find him poking around where she shouldn't be! Just tell me where he'd be! Nancy & Amber Fletch Eleven popped into that thread. If you guys are both okay with being in that thread together I'm definitely down. Thanks for the warm welcome of plottage, all! |

I can see him hiding out in Benny's diner with the walk-in cooler or freezer. He might be hiding at the Quarry too, mostly staying in the water even if his body prunes up but that would only happen during the nights when the water's cold. I imagine it's summer now, so it's either the diner or the tunnel system. With Will having run off when Eleven saved the gang from the demo-dog, I wonder if she had the opportunity to close the Gate. Then again, she can't because if she does, it would kill Will while he's possessed... I should probably mention that to Eleven ... Oops.

I'm all for Amber and Eleven meeting~ it helps El gravitate towards her when they're in school together later anyway.

Closet raiding with Nancy sounds super adorable. I am all about this. Especially since Eleven's going to be going to school for the very first time and will want to fit in. Learning about fashion is a must, and Nancy's the obvious person to ask~
